Bead Method Insulation Board Type 2 (EPS)

Features of Bead Method Insulation Board Type 2

Known by trademarks such as Neopor and Zeroboard, and referred to internationally as Grey EPS, this insulation material is manufactured by adding graphite, a carbon-containing synthetic material, to bead method insulation materials.
This addition enhances the product's insulation capabilities against radiant heat by increasing its heat accumulation capacity.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Bead Method Insulation Board Type 2

  • 01

Offers approximately 9% better insulation than Bead Method Insulation Board Type 1.

  • 02

Can be installed at 15-20% thinner than Bead Method Insulation Board Type 1, allowing for a more efficient use of space.

  • 03

Composed of independent microbubble structures, making it resistant to moisture and mold.

  • 04

High absorption rate; insulation performance decreases when water is absorbed.

  • 05

Vulnerable to heat and prone to deformation, with weak resistance to chemicals.
